Language Awareness and the Power of Language

Introduction

The language allows us not only contact others, but also to read, to write and learn. From birth, children begin communicating. Early on, he managed to understand what you say, make sounds, and develop skills language.

All people depend on a clear communication to express fully their ideas. Any person attempting to speak to others to find that it is necessary to possess a strong fluency in the language of the people they are communicating to in order to obtain the ability to exercise power over these individuals. Thus, Language is the ability to implement a system of linguistic signs (which are the language) for the communication and the expression of thought, which is private to humans, and feelings, which is common to animals. The language is the scientific study of language (Bloomfield, 23).

The power of language can only be understood with the awareness of it. Language shows the identity of people and possess a prominent importance in society.

Coming To an Awareness of Language by Malcolm X

Coming to an awareness of language is portraying Malcolm's thought of being unaware of the language. With this problem he faces problem in expressing himself in words. Malcolm X became increasingly frustrated at not being able to express himself in his letters, especially in his letters to Elijah Muhammad. We must distinguish the expression of something and made to speak about something. The expression of something, is the fact this thing to occur, to manifest his presence, that is to say to show. This sense is mainly for affective states like emotions. Speak about something is to talk about this thing. Expression is characteristic of a being endowed with the faculty of language, hence that of thinking, that is to say of a subject.

As stated, the question can only refer to the sense of the verb express as there is no sense to ask whether we have the power or the means to express something, such as affective states , speaks of himself, spontaneously and in spite of ourselves. However, the question is not about whether we have the ability to speak, to speak about something, but if we can express everything (Bloomfield, 23).

It sometimes happens that wish to say our thoughts, we could not find our words, as if it was not possible to express them. We can express everything, we have still the possibility and the means to express verbal form all our thoughts, and our ideas. If the experience of the ineffable seems to indicate that it is not always possible, however, it also seems, since we think in words, none of our thoughts is impossible to say. Then the words they allow us to express our thoughts are these thoughts out of them and impossible to verbalize. One of the phrase defines power of the language which is:
