Introduction

This is a positive report based on group discussion that comprises of 5 people in attendance. The main focus of this paper is to analyze the role of women as leader church. Further, this paper discusses in the light of 1 Timothy 2:12 where Paul states that women should not teach or exercise authority over men. In addition to this, this discussion compares and contrasts the attitude of Jesus and Apostle Paul regarding the role of women in leadership.

Discussion

The first part of the discussion was attended by Raphael Akinrodoye, Pius Akinyose, Bisi Ajibola, Bukola Ashimi and Grace Akinde. The debate was conducted in the light of 1Timothy 2:12 where Paul states that women should not teach or exercise authority over men.

According to the 1Timothy 2:12, it seems like, that Paul is not in favour of women in reflecting in the position of leadership. For further analyses, 1 Tim 2:12 depicts that women must not exercise or teach any authority over men. This shows that women are not accepted to dominate over men. It has always been men who are considered to rule and exercise such powers. However, this statement not necessarily targets wives but all women irrespective of their field of interests (bible.org).

To carry on the discussion to the next section, we focused on the debate compares and contrast the attitude of Jesus and Apostle Paul regarding the role of women in leadership. The participants in this discussion were Raphael Akinrodoye, Pius Akinyose, Bisi Ajibola, Bukola Ashimi and Grace Akinde. To have better understanding we first discussed about the bible teachings.
