Findings

The sample size consists of 12 participants from Mary Wood's social work program who have enrolled in January 2011 from Scranton campuses. As the population of the campus was small so all were invited in the non random sample, it was mailed survey and all the data were collected through emails. The questionnaire consists of different questions from demographic aspects which contain information like (age, gender, income etc) also questions were asked to test the spiritual level and physical activity of the participants.

Standardized tests are applied on the data set to test interrelationship between the variables of physical activity and spirituality, in order to find out their effects on the life satisfaction of an individual. There is a common perception that spirituality and physical aspects affects the satisfaction of our, if we are having problems regarding our health and mental satisfaction if will affect the overall life satisfaction. In the same way spirituality has a very deep relationship with life satisfaction, any person who is mentally, physically and spiritually disturbed is not satisfied in his/her life.

Annual income

The most important part of the demographic data is the annual income of the participants; the reason of its importance is that a person can mentally satisfied when he/she is earning a good amount. The data shows that only 8.3 percent of the total population of 12 participants are earning 833$ a month, which is obviously quiet low and 4 of the total participants which covers 33.3% of the data earns in between 10,000-20,000 per year. The major part portion of the population earns more 20,000 per year; this is a better amount for mental and self satisfaction.

Living with someone

The table shows that 25% of the participants are not living with anyone and 9 of the total population agree that they have either a partner or they might be living with someone. This is a natural fact that you need someone when there is a disturbance either mentally or spiritually, people who have mates or partners in there are living satisfactorily.

Marital status

The data consists of 66.7% of the participants who are not married and the rest are married.

Family commitments

When anyone makes a commitment in his/her life, they will then always be struggling to fulfill their commitments. And if they not meet their commitments they have a feeling of dissatisfaction in their life, the data set shows that 9 participants have no commitments with their families so in this aspect they must be living a satisfactory life.

Taking Care of Elderly Parents
