Introduction

Bureaucratic perspective means to use a qualified group or unit of officials, structured in a pyramidal chain of command and performing under standardized, unfriendly rules, regulations and procedures. According to this perspective, organizational systems determines the limited number of responsibilities allotted to the place of work that manage according to the standards of permanent jurisdictional regions. The organizations that follow bureaucratic perspective are typified by balanced and frosty guidelines of all level relationships. Bureaucratic rules and regulation do not work in uncertain situations and conditions. As there is paper stated goals in bureaucratic perspective, it slows done the achievement of stated organizational goals. An advantage of bureaucratic perspective is it is beneficial for employees in the concept of job security like fixed salary, and other benefits it offers as insurance, medical coverage and pensions etc (UOW, 2011).

Discussion

University of Wollongong is a public university, which is located in the coastal site of Wollongong in New South Wales Australia. It was founded in 1951, when New South Wales University of technology was established. In 1962, it became the Wollongong University College. In 197, it was officially become an independent institution of higher education by New South Wales Parliament. The University of Wollongong has nine faculties like Arts, Commerce, education, health sciences, engineering science and law. It also controls two autonomous schools that are Graduate School of Medicine and Sydney Business School (Cliff notes, 2012).

Formal organizational structure of the university

All activities like job distribution, management and administration, which are performed to achieve organizational goals, are called organizational structure. It is a perspective through which an organization and its environment can be seen. Organizations can be structured according to their goals and objectives in many different ways. It shows the form in which organizations control and perform its activities.

University Council has three divisions academic senate, council committees and vice chancellor & Principal. Under the division of the vice chancellor & Principal, there are many senior executives of different departments like (UOW, 2011).

Formal rules and procedures of University

A teaching academy must have some polices, rules and regulations which they should follow to work in a formalized and proper way.
