Executive summary

This paper will introduce the four functions of management and how they are both independent and dependent at the same time. The paper will also show how each function relates to SunTrust Mortgage. In the business world today, the top executives not only adapt to changing conditions but also apply fanatically, strictly, consistently, and with discipline the fundamental management principles. These four functions are planning, organization, direction and control. The four functions of management are a crucial part of the fundamentals of management. Each function is an important step to a successful organization. Without each function, the organization could suffer and the performance of the organization will not be optimal.

Introduction

When we say that a particular company functions, we mean that the people at the plant perform certain actions. Most people plan their activities for the day (month, year, etc.), and then organize the resources needed to implement this plan. As we move forward, we compare what they did, the goals and objectives that have set themselves earlier. This affects the daily work of a number of management functions, i.e., management should be viewed as a cyclical process consisting of specific types of administrative operations, which are called control functions. Management functions - is a particular form of management, which is performed by special techniques and methods, as well as the appropriate organization of work. Thus, one of the major components that make up the content management functions are.
