Management theory, practices and principles

Management theory can be defined as a set of rules, regulations, all ideas and practices developed to assist managers in several key areas such as planning, organizing, directing and controlling all of which is done in a way that is the most effective and efficient manner.

The four management functions are planning, organization, direction and control. (Habermas 1997)

There are different managers at different levels of the organization, and each deals with a number of different functions required for organizational effectiveness. Since administrators have developed rather than a product of nature, we can assume that some are more successful than others to achieve the best results of these functions.

In general it was observed that managers have to do with the functions of planning, organization, direction and control.Each of the functions of a manager uses creative problem solving means. creative problem solving is broader than the search for problems, making the choice or decision making. (Mbembe 2001)

The outcome is the use of organizational resources in a way that carries out its mission and objectives.

Management success is gained when the achievements of missions and objectives. Managers fail when they fail to meet the mission and objectives. Success and failure are tied directly to the reasons for being in business, that is, mission and objectives. (Stivers 2000)

Planning is a continuous process of business development mission and objectives and determining how they will be held. Goal setting, scheduling activities and resources to ensure objectives are met. "Planning: formulating a plan or program to carry out, to have a specific objective or purpose"

In the four functions of management, planning is the primary role in all management functions and within the standard of business today. Without planning, a company cannot function properly.

The organization is establishing the internal organizational structure but also define the roles and responsibilities to ensure that people have the skills to successfully complete the requirements. It is the function that managers distribute authority to job holders.

To lead is to establish a long-term goal, communicating a vision, influence the behavior of people through communication, motivation and group dynamics. The main purpose is to channel the behavior of all personnel to meet the organization's mission and objectives while helping them achieve their own career goals. "Leading: show, to be a channel to direct, inspire"With leaders, and being a good leader is not the motivation and how to motivate their employees. (Mbembe 2001)

In my studies on the theory of motivation, I chose three different people and there are theories of motivation.
