Defining Career Management

The lifelong process of investing resources to fulfill your goal is called career management. Career management is a continuous event and not a singular process which is necessary to adapt considering the varying demands of 21st Century. No matter you are in the early phase of your life or you are a veteran, you are aware of Career management. Career management is all about things that are not told and how to do it. Career management deals with two major investment assets to manage throughout our working life, first being personal all-time learning and second set of connections or relationship.

Career Planning Methodology

Planning a managerial career is very essential for any student or professional to achieve the desired success in his or her career. There is no doubt that numerous individuals work in one company , and only few of them got selected to promote as managers. Thus, it is very essential for every amateur professional to plan its career with long term strategies and always try to learn things from senior professionals. However, a methodology for examining a career process is called Career planning methodology. The career path that one chooses initially is followed for the rest of their life. Illustrating through example, if one chooses to be a lawyer, He or She are asserting that they will pursue law as their profession for all of their life, or at least for the most part of their life. If someone wants to change their field of profession, it will be very difficult and not so efficient. For instance, if someone has been in the profession of law for more than 20 years, than they have gathered an immense amount of experience that nothing could replace. Their abilities are refined to a point that they could not do anything better than practicing law. To desert that profession would mean abandoning years of experience, skill-building and practice to start something new. But why would a person want to do that? A person board upon something because they know that this is what they want to do for the rest of their lives. A person would dedicate every ounce of his effort on the career that they have chosen.
