Managing Change in Third Sector Organization during Recession
Managing Change In Third Sector Organization During Recession
Introduction
Managing change, restructuring, the reorganizing of a business to improve company performance, has become more common as competitive pressures have increased in the global market. To gain control over management in times of recession, a bootstrapping process is required. Recession brings rough images in most people's minds. Visions of layoffs, family hardships, and red ink spreading over corporate profit graphs generate concern on the part of business and family people alike. Many firms are suffering from decreased sales. Many industries have begun laying off workers in anticipation of worse times to come. Usually present recession may be significantly different from previous recessions and may be much more complex to handle for those who do not comprehend the current business and world milieu.
Hypothesis
Third sector organizations are adversely affected from the recession, thus there is a strong need to manage the change at regional and national level.
Reason of Choosing this Topic
The reason of choosing this topic is due to the fact that bringing change in an organization is an essential element for the organization to move towards success. Introducing change to an organization can be difficult and managers need to gain the support and commitment of their colleagues and employees to ensure that change is managed effectively and business continues as usual with as little disruption as possible. Failure to do this can result in a loss of talented employees, a loss of credibility and a loss of the organization market position.
