Managing The Load Of Structure Of The Buildings

Introduction

As space and spatial design became new paradigm of theory of architecture at turn of twentieth century, disappeared tectonics as an architectural and aesthetic. Since its rediscovery, tectonics has been discussed as if it were separate from design of space, not in relation to it. Very true, it is not self-evident to relate to tectonics of space and spatial design. When thinking about tectonics, which we initially thought on matter, not space, you have to do with its physical structure and not its spatial form and configuration. However, we can relate spatial design tectonics, especially if we understand "tectonic" as tectonic construction, and construction as the form of spatial design. In carrying out such analysis, paper explores meaning of tectonics of establishment of area.

Le Corbusier

Centre Le Corbusier Heidi Weber Museum is an art museum in Zurich (Switzerland) dedicated to work of Swiss architect Le Corbusier. Building is located on shore of Lake Zurich Zürichhorn near district of Seefeld. You can easily walk (20 minutes from Bellevue) or by public transport: Tram 2, 4 and 33 and bus stops or Fröhlichstrasse Höschgasse or bus lines 912 and 916 of Bellevue to Chinagarten. Highly sculpted walls and roof of this building are made of the combination of masonry and reinforced concrete and self-sufficient.

Are both elements that define site and structural elements that give you ability to maintain its shape and resist load. Here envelope of building consists of the network of steel cables suspending three reinforced concrete arches, one in vertical plane forming backbone of building and two lateral arches almost horizontal. Composition of this building is more complex than in previous cases because of suspension can be divided into cable network, which has the purely structural and nonstructural cladding system. It could also be argued that arches have the purely structural and do not contribute directly to box space. (Weber p.156)

Bearing structure is, in principle, is completely separate from space-enclosing or skin. Façade design has become totally free, to the fully glazed over. Reduction of support structure to the set of columns and beams in middle distances allows the free range of interior space, both horizontally and vertically.

Because of double duality, skeleton frame, so to speak, maximum difference possible between tectonic construction and building the space: first, the 3-4 scale: Musée des Public Traveaux 5: Van Nelle by factory bearing structure of linear elements, and on other side not bearing 2-dimensional planes, which locks in the vertical facades and roof in form of horizontal slices.

While holding, respectively outside or inside vertical planes of outer skin, construction is taking absolute dualism of space bound. This changes as soon as skeletal framework is directly related to or even integrated into shape of space boundaries. On way to stabilize and space of matrix is obtained as the particular building space, which however remains rather marginal, depending on spatial distance between extremist groups and appearance of skeleton corresponding filegree tectonic structure.

Essential relationship with construction of space is rather functioning ...
