Introduction

Skin Cancer could be of different types, which begin from different epidermis tissues. The melanin in the epidermis gives the epidermis its skin tones, or shade. The Cells which are called melanocytes create up the melanin. Melanoma is the cancer which produces from the melanocytes. Even though it is the least common cancer, according to the Skin Cancer Foundation, this melanoma is causing the most cancer fatalities each year.

Discussion

Melanoma is cancer of the skin or mucous membranes, which is developed at the expense of melanocytes and heads the initial skin in the vast majority of cases. However, there are melanoma of the eye (choroidal melanoma), the mucous membranes (mouth, anal canal, vagina), and even more rarely the internal organs. Despite what its name suggests, a melanoma is not always dark: 5% of nodular melanomas are "amelanotic" (of the normal color of the skin in people other than black skin). Studies epidemiological suggest that exposure to radiation from the ultraviolet light (UVA and UVB) is a major cause in the development of melanoma (Jerant, 2008).

Skin Cancer can be produced in both men and women. Though it can produce anywhere on the skin, in men it is more frequently discovered on the throat, head and waist. In females it often produces on their throat and thighs. Because melanomas can be observed, therefore early treatment is possible. Cancer malignancy is often treatable in initial phases. However in cases where the cancer malignancy has propagated, have a lesser chance of treatment.

The risk of Melanoma appears to be strongly influenced by socioeconomic conditions of the person, not so much by the fact that their occupation is developed inside or outside a building. So it's more common to see professional melanomas and administrative personnel in non-graduates.

Cause

Skin Cancer happens when the tissues accountable for generating skin color are affected. Epidermis tissues develop systemically as healthy new tissues make their way out to the surface of the skin by pushing out the older tissues. The method of skin cell generation is created by DNA. However, when the DNA is damaged, new tissues may develop extremely and lead to the generation of cancer tissues. Risk Factors
