The implementation of ethics is significant and highly imperative in military, as an organization as well as the personal development of military personnel

Introduction

There is a certain conduct that one has to comply with, in every respective walk of life. Every society, sector, organization and even the family, has a specific predetermined code of behavior. These limitations help the individual shape up one's behavior and manners while addressing to different issues and situations in life. If an individual is not acquainted with the morals or appropriate conduct that needs to be carried out while living in a society or working in an organization, then he/ she is liable to cross certain limitations and boundaries, which would else wise be considered inappropriate.

The significance of the morals, or the sense of right and wrong for an individual, eventually shapes up the morals of the whole society, via which its inhabitants are supposed to lead their lives, personal and professional activities. It is a general understanding that without any rule of conduct, unless the society is aware of the manner via which the activities are to be carried forward, the society would not be less than a jungle, where people would act and conduct their activities, with respect to their individual discretion. Therefore, it's highly imperative that such understanding already exists in the society and is passed on to the other individuals, as well. The understanding of conducting one's behavior in an appropriate way and the sense of right and wrong is broadly known as the ethics.

Ethics and Its Significance

Ethics is generally understood as the system of moral values and standards, the rule of conduct, approved by a particular group or class to be valid. In a society, the principles of ethics define the appropriate path of actions for an individual. As discussed earlier, that the ethics is a system which enables us to deduce the right and wrong doings. It is this standard that enables us to shape up our values and pursue our activities in accordance with those values. Ethics also allows us to question ourselves that either the immediate happiness and success is more important to us, or we can bear to forgo and forfeit our momentary joy for the forthcoming greater cause. A question always perplexes the human mind that either the ethics are somehow a formally written document and widely understood manuscript, or it is embedded in human nature, which progresses or diminishes with respect to the societal values and practices.

In reality, ethics are imperative and a prerequisite as well as a necessity for an appropriate human life. These ethics determine our behaviors and our actions.
