Introduction

Industrial Management deals with the development, improvement, implementation and evaluation of integrated systems of people, money, knowledge, information, equipment, energy, materials and/or processes. It also deals with designing new product prototypes more efficiently. It incorporates the principle and methods of engineering analysis and synthesis with the mathematical, physical and social sciences together to specify, predict, and evaluate the results of systems or processes (Katz, 2005, Pp. 33).

Discussion

The principles of industrial management are not only universally applicable across industries, but across all operations in government, commerce, services, or industry. The theoretical basis of industrial engineering is a science of operations, and to use this science in most applications, one must simultaneously consider at least three criteria:

(1) Quality

(2) Timeliness

(3) Cost

The basic system of general principles of management can truly be called the principle of the scientific validity of management. The scientific approach to management requires a solid, comprehensive study of all factors affecting the efficiency of the organization, and then applying the knowledge gained in the practice of management.

A second, equally important principle of management is the principle of a systematic approach to solving management problems. The systems approach requires that managers viewed the organization as a set of interrelated, interdependent and constantly interacting elements, such as people, structure, tasks and technologies that aim to achieve different goals (Goleman, 2008, Pp. 93).

The principle of optimal control establishes the requirement to achieve management objectives with minimal time and money.

With the aforementioned principle is inextricably linked the principle of management flexibility, which allows the practical implementation to ensure that organizations adapt to changing environmental conditions or rapid restructuring under the new objectives of functioning.

With the growing role of social factors in the management, came to the fore the principle of democratic governance, which includes the requirement to satisfy the interests of owners, managers, labor collective and the individual members of the organization on an equitable basis (Couger, 2008, Pp. 161).

Under the principle of regulation of all processes occurring in the control system must be tightly regulated. In other words, in any organization should be developed detailed system of rules and regulations governing the functioning of the organization as a whole and its individual business units.

The principle involves the formalization of formalized rules and rules for the organization in the form of ordering, instructions and orders of the head, as well as provisions for specific structural units and job descriptions.

Applying the principles of regulation and formalization of an orderly process of functioning of the organization and make it more systematic and rational.
