Moral and Ethical Issues Brought On By Japans Robotic Technology

Introduction

This paper represents the illustration about the morality and ethics with regards to the context of using robotic technology in Japan. As through the technology breakthrough it is quite evident that the technology and the level of advancement are quite upscale in the country like Japan, and thus, they are one of the countries with such a sudden advancements. Explaining about the robot, it an electronically functioned mechanical, intelligent agent that have the ability through a back end system that is by a computer and electronic programming to perform the tasks automatically.

Loss of Natural Surroundings

Though, the robots are the artificially created electronic mechanics which is specially design to assist in the performing the tasks, and lend a hand in tedious work. Unfortunately, the emergence of the robots has eliminated the element of the natural surroundings and has forced the human being to depend on the machines for their daily routine tasks. Robots have made human being much more depended on them for their routine tasks as well, this practice has made the pure element diminish. People have become lazy to do their work. In-fact those works which used to, occur naturally are too now process with the help of the robotic technologies.

Cultural Beliefs

There are a lot of differences between the cultural beliefs old generation may be not so much tech-savvy, and they feel separated and may not be able to adopt the technology of the next generation (Beer, 1981). Cultural belief plays a vital part it is also evident that there may perhaps some families, or old generation who restrict themselves from the technological adaptation just for the reason of their cultural beliefs and norms.

Generation differences

One of the main difficulties is the change in the generations, past, and older generations did not get enough opportunities, and not much invention took place in that era. People of the older generation feel reluctant in adopting the technologies that are invented on a daily basis. Moreover, the learning curve is steeper than the generation of today. Still these days the older generation act moderately and stick to their values and beliefs. Their beliefs and values are at stake in the face of technology. For instance, the beginning of the computer era has changed the world, and implementation of this technology on the youth has made the youth more advanced.

Moral Challenges

It is very salient issue to clarify and have a look at the moral theories and ethics when using and designing the technology. The most essential elements are the standard user, tools, and the victim model. The moral challenges act between the circumstances where the user of the technology and the technology intercepts each other. For instance, if anything bad or good happen the accusation is transferred to the user but not the machine as a tool which is being used, and might causes harm.
