Multicultural based on the Marxist theory

Introduction

The United States is peopled by groups that arrived in search of economic opportunity or political refuge, as well as by populations who were conquered, enslaved, or subordinated. To understand the social position and characteristics of today's minority elders, one must appreciate the lifelong processes and historical experiences that have brought them to their current stage of life. Today, US benefit from policies that rather encourage legal residents to put down permanent roots in the community, become enterprising citizens, and fight discrimination. Before she can naturalize, most will have weak political rights in the three countries, especially compared to Canada or other Northern European countries.

Multiculturalism is a policy aimed at developing and maintaining a separate country and the world at large cultural differences, and justifying such a policy theory or ideology. Marxist theory has derived the concept of multiculturalism. This theory combines all the cultures, religions and races to live peacefully and with harmony. The concept of multiculturalism protects and recognizes the cultural differences. In the concept of multiculturalism derived by Marxist theory, there is no dominant culture and no government incentive or pressure to enforce other governments or nations. Ethnicity and culture go side by side in multiculturalism. The ethnicity groups, according to the theory, are understandable, tolerant, respectful and based on equality. Through anti-discrimination legislation and intercultural education, the conflicts emerging in a multicultural society must be minimized (Brown & Khagram & Moore 2000, 271).

Although multiculturalism in its different types has been considered and presented in certain western nations since the 1960s and 1970s inside academia liberal advances still predominate. Not only liberals have tended to glimpse ethnicity as getting in the way of conceiving a civic nation; socialists have furthermore tended to favor class solidarity to ethnicity. Multiculturalism is defined as liberal amounts of cultures in an area. It is simply a society where many different types of people from diverse cultural, religious and traditional values and beliefs live together peacefully. It is the unification of diverse cultures, talents, multilingual, and the ability to accept each other. Others see it as the union of all creeds, color, religion, and freedom from prejudice. Those are open-minded group of people who are able to go beyond themselves and explore each other's interests.
