Admission Essay

I am applying to the graduate program of the 'Health Information Management' because I want a career that is indirectly related to the treatment of patients in the health care industry. My interests are mostly in subjects related to organization and management, but I am willing to learn all the aspects of HIM and take responsibilities after I have received HIM certification. This is why I want to have an in depth understanding of the subjects related to HIM (especially science, mathematics, law). In future given the opportunity I want to become a HIM director, through which I will be able to monitor and implement new and innovative designs into the Information management segment of the health care industry.

For me having a certification/degree in HIM will certainly help me to achieve my objectives. It will not only enhance my analytical skills in a wide range of fields but will also add to my knowledge in a diverse range of subjects. This will be of immense help to all the stakeholders be it doctors, engineers, nurses, investors who are directly or indirectly related to health care field. Besides this, this career offers me diverse prospects in career, since I had also wanted to work in the health care industry but more in the administration side that is indirectly with patients.

I want to join 'XXX HIM School' in order to improve my future career prospects. I have XXX experience working in XXX Company which is why I feel I can apply my practical knowledge into HIM. Even though subjects like law would be new to me but given my proven record of dedication and hard work in internships and job experiences I tend to learn these subjects and pass them with flying colors.
