Abstract

Sodium sulfur battery option enhances the average battery, which is relatively new in power system applications. This paper presents a simulation of sodium sulfur batteries are used in applications, power systems, such as battery energy storage and power quality custom devices. Some electrical battery models are reviewed and important factors that should be considered in the modeling of batteries, such as internal resistance, the aim of this paper is to offer the benefits of Nas battery power, voltage, internal resistance, durability, depth of discharge and temperature, they affect the power performance characteristics and performance of batteries. Validation of the proposed model can be used in the simulation study of the energy system applications using NAS batteries.

Problem Statement

Evaluating the effectiveness of Nas (sodium sulfur)batteries if it proves beneficial based on the fact that it consists of ohmic resistance associated with the electrolyte resistance, the resistance of the plate and fluid resistance, making a polarization effect. Internal resistance changes during charge and discharge operations, depending on depth of discharge and temperature.

Proposed solution

Recent advances include the development of NAS batteries for more storage function that performs different functions of energy management, and custom power devices for power quality applications. Battery performance NAS is the main factor determining its effectiveness in these different applications, so the need for an accurate model is necessary. The aim of this paper is to propose a model of the electric battery NAS, which takes into account various important factors, such as energy, power, voltage, internal resistance, durability, depth of discharge and temperature as they affect the power, performance and battery performance. Validation of the proposed model can be used in the simulation study of the energy system applications using NAS batteries. U.S. electricity market significallt the aggregate sales exceeding US $ 240 billion. Re-evaluating the competition there are a number of aspects of beeter sales of Nas batteries although it varies from state to state and market awareness and conditions.The most important element being the knowledge and utilization of such batterties and secondly technology transfer activity.
