Abstract

This report contains a review of indicators on the nature of demand for the opening of the outlet in the UK. Content and key points presented here. Thus, data on the nature of demand for innovation in the UK is rare, making an overall assessment difficult. Most of the evidence focuses on the mass consumer demand for innovation in business - and this study finds that consumers in Britain are willing to try and buy new products and services. However, very little (if any) of the data currently exists for business and government demand for innovation. If the measures do exist, they show the UK in a positive light, but with improvements. Introduction

Traditional policy and academic debates about how to record levels of innovation and stimulants for innovation in the UK, have ignored demand factors in favor of those that focus on supply-side resources, such as R & D and new technologies. However, innovation can not be successful without a demand. Willingness and ability to innovate purchase products are essential criteria for successful innovation. As part of the government white paper on innovation NESTA was tasked with creating "innovation index" to measure the performance of the UK's innovation and climate for innovation. To achieve this goal, this report addresses the issue of how to access the nature of demand for innovation in the UK.

This should support the development of innovative policies and determine whether innovators will have customers ready to buy new goods and services, and where the gaps in the fact that a ready market may exist (Brinkley, 11). Nesta offers four indicators to assess the nature of demand for innovation, and consider that the most recent data says about the current level of demand in the UK on the basis of these indicators (Witt, 4). At the same time, we also discuss the problems with the use of indicators, including a variety of meanings and forms of innovation and demand for innovation, diversity of areas in which innovation can not take place, and difficulties in accumulation of aggregated data at the national level. In conclusion, we propose ways of addressing the gaps that currently exist in the available data that we believe will provide an indicator of demand for innovation in the UK. It's no secret that venture capital has suffered in these last few years, much to the dismay of British entrepreneurs and startups. Studies in the NESTA now behind him: UK startups have seen a 40 percent reduction in the activity of the VC since 2008.
