Introduction

An incorporated organization which exists for informative or charitable reasons, and from which its shareholders or trustees manage not benefit financially. Any cash acquired must be kept by the association, and used for its own expenses, operations, and programs. Many non-profit organizations also seek levy exempt status, and may also be exempt from localized taxes encompassing sales taxes or house taxes.
