Abstract

This research proposal focuses at nonunion workplacedisputes that can be harmful and leads to displeased employees, decreased productivity, poor customer care services, absenteeism, higher rates of staff turnover, and greater stress related to work. Moreover the proposal discusses how to understand, manage and resolve daily disputes that occur in any workplace. Furthermore a secondary method that is literature review would be applied to this research proposal to find out the stylesof nonunion workplace disputes. The Wagner act, Landrum griffin act and the bargaining process will be discussed to throw light on the history of workers union of organizations.

Introduction

There are disputes in any organization, to some extent; dispute is a sign of a healthy exchange of views and creativity. Disputes are an inevitable part of human relationships. When the commitment to the mission and long hours are associated with meager resources, workplaces and community volunteers can lead to interpersonal disputes. Disputes can arise when different views and concerns seems incompatible. (Hill, 2003)

Problem Statement

A lot of disputes occur at nonunion workplaces, such as economic compete for scarce resources, financial or human resources. For instance, inconsistency in preferences, principles and practices which people believe arouses disputes at workplace. Moreover, incompatible approaches, inequalities due to the organizational structure and relationships between superiors and subordinates also cause disputes at workplace. (Huber & Huber, 2008)

Purpose of the study

This endeavor and study will first and foremost be a descriptive, as well as an exploratory study. The primary focus of the study will revolve around the disputes at nonunion workplace, which is a very common practice. Resolution of workplace disputes would also be discussed.

Aims and Objectives

The primary aim of this study is to understand the different levels of disputes and how disputes arise at workplace.

The study will strive to focus on relevant and useful ways of resolution of disputes aroused at nonunion workplaces.

Most importantly, not only will the study strive to understand the ways for nonunion workplace dispute resolution, but also understand the stylesof disputes and their resolutions respectively.

Hypothesis

H1: The dispute resolution ways are helpful to resolve the common workplace disputes.

HA: Workplace disputes cannot be resolved using the dispute resolution ways.

Literature Review
