Introduction

Abolitionist Movement, reform movement throughout the 18th and 19th centuries. Often called the antislavery movement, it searched to end the enslavement of Africans and persons of African fall in Europe, the Americas, and Africa itself. It furthermore aimed to end the Atlantic slave trade conveyed out in the Atlantic Ocean between Africa, Europe, and the Americas (Cain, pp: 26).
