Narrowing Nursing Gaps

Narrowing gap in nursing can be an advantage in terms of the profession's political astuteness, power, and flexibility, adaptability to change and new ideas, and position to provide leadership in the health care (Tame, 2009). The health care has to respond dynamically to the social, political, economic, scientific and technological, as well as the ethical issues it poses, such way to improve the quality of care delivery. From a macroeconomic perspective, the deterioration of the economy, the reimbursement debt and geopolitical transitions have created new conditions for the development and operation of health systems, resulting in the need to readjust resources available for the health of the population.

A few years ago there was an unspoken rule that women were teachers, nurses and men trapped in the construction or physical labor. Since gender differences may offer unique advantages it has been a positive factor for the field of career for almost everyone in the world (Sangster-Gormley, 2007). One of the most eminent has seen an increase in male is nursing.

The division between men and women is not as clearly defined as it was ten or fifteen years. Today a man can do a woman can do, and vice versa. This has opened up opportunities for men and women to fulfill their lifelong dream. There is nothing feminine about wanting care for patients or help those in need of medical assistance. Men are as compassionate as women, and many have made a career of something they love. Since the generation that saw the division of roles between men and women, many universities have attempted to recruit male students. It is perhaps by offering incentives or advertising directly to the male population. There are also many professional organizations and associations that promote the entry of men into nursing roles.

Gender equality is complex social changes that require changing attitudes and behaviors of people and democracy promotion mechanisms in organizations (Polit & Beck, 2008). These changes will not happen without resistance, because change disrupts hierarchies, questioning ways of exercising power and redefine social policy areas that seek to return to work sense, and at the same time promotes new forms of pleasure and understanding life and the organization of time.
