Introduction

Healthy lifestyle is mainly based on carefully chosen food. Fast life pace and heavy media exposure led to a change in lifestyle in terms that consumers became more aware of the need to live healthy lives and eat healthy foods. Education, proper information, product availability and price, all influence healthy food buying decisions. However, despite a huge amount of information, there is still too little knowledge about healthy food, and let alone reasons for why people buy it. Generally speaking, buying decisions are influenced by a set of internal and external factors and the consumer's mind still remains a black box (Feigenbaum, 2006, 77).

Primarily, it is significant to characterize the distinction between healthy food, eco food, bio food, and organic food. Specific delineations of wellbeing and healthy food have become accessible in health-related literature. The World Health Organization characterized wellbeing as a “state of entire personal, mental and communal well-being, and not only the nonattendance of infection or infirmity” (Murray, 1973, 88). The period “healthy food” is not lawfully characterized in most nations whereas it has been marketed for more than a 100 years (Hue and Kim, 1997; Kwak and Jukes, 2001). In a Financial Times report, wellbeing food are characterized as “all food and drink goods which consumers can address to be beneficial or advantageous to their health” (Northcroft, 1995; Kwak and Jukes, 2001, 44). This delineation does not clarify the scope of healthy food, but interprets how this period has been utilized in the genuine world.

Organic or bio food, different wellbeing food, is a much stricter and more apparently characterized term. Organic food is a make of organic agriculture, which is a kind of agriculture that groups very firm restricts on the allowance of artificial synthetic inputs allowed. That is so because of what is asserted that these inputs manage to environment and the body, and to a lesser span, the ecological impairment initiated in making the inputs. These inputs encompass the ones utilized in output (fertilisers, pesticides, herbicides, antibiotics, etc.) and processing (food additives, encompassing artificial flavourings, preservatives and colourings). In an organic agriculture, the plantings per ha are 20-40 percent smaller, while charges are up to 50 percent higher in evaluation to accepted goods (Consumer Report, 2006). In broader periods, organic agriculture and its end product - bio food , have been attached to re-linking the manufacturer and consumer and altering how the country space is utilized, to contemplate new standards, for example the natural environment and animal welfare (Tovey, 1997, 87). The product deserves to be marked as organic if it conforms to the Council Regulation (EEC 2092/91) that order food should comprise a smallest 95 per cent of organic components, is inspected by an accredited unaligned examination body, and is developed without the use of genetically changed organisms.
