Behavioral Modification

Behavior modification involves the systematic application of the principles and learning techniques to evaluate and improve covert and overt behaviors of people and facilitate positive performance. It is also known as operant conditioning. It is a form of learning by which a subject is more likely to repeat the behaviors that carry positive and, conversely, less likely to repeat those involving negative consequences (Mcshane et al, 2008). Operant conditioning is a type of associative learning that has to do with the development of new behaviors in terms of their consequences.
