Introduction

The selected organization for this research paper is Apple. History of Apple began thirty years ago when two friends, Steve Jobs and Steve Wozniak decided to start his own production company and production computers. Officially, Apple was founded on 1 April 1976, and that's when the market has assembled manually Computer Apple Computer I - for the ten months were collected and sold 175 shares at a price of 666.66 dollars (Schoemaker et al. 1993). By and large, Apple became an instant market leader in portable digital audio players, and surely holds that position today (Kane 2009).

Apple is currently engaged in design, development and marketing of personal computers, media devices, and portable digital music players. The company also sells a variety of related software, services, peripherals, networking solutions, and third-party digital content and applications. The company's portfolio of offerings comprises Macintosh (Mac) computing systems, iPods line of portable digital music and video players, iPhone handsets and iPad portable multimedia and computing devices. The company primarily operates in the US. It is headquartered in Cupertino, California and employs 46,600 employees (Kane 2009).

I have served Apple as an internee. During my tenure, I used to perform various roles in different departments that provided me a great opportunity to learn new things and new ways to handle situations in technology.

Issues, Events, and Actions That Contributed To Problem Being Discussed

Mr. Steve Jobs, 56, was on sick leave since January for a period and an undetermined reason. It was already the third time in seven years that he announced he was going on sick leave. He underwent a liver transplant two years ago, and survived pancreatic cancer in 2004 (Kane 2009). Therefore, it may be a major reason for his resignation.
