Areas That Are Needed To Be Changed
On the basis of the valuation of the scenario that is given in the case study it can be said that there are certain areas that need improvement and changes. The first aspect within Singapore Airlines that is needed to be changed and upgraded is the structure and the nature of the organization. Structure of the organization involves components like span of control and decision making authority. It is mentioned in the case study that the new CEO does not take into consideration the views and notions of employees. This left the employees in the state of perplexities and this made them less motivated to perform at their best which in turn affected the performance of the organization. One can also easily extract from the given information in the case study that there is communication problem in the organization. Whenever any new change is being implemented or introduced in the organization then it is not properly communicated to the employees. This means that every day employees find them in a new world with new rules and new practices.
