Now a day's organized crime has taken place in a broader and complex aspect. It is not like the old days that whenever talk about organized crime was done the image of Sicilian mafias where used to occur. Now a day's organized crime includes:

All these groups are working in United States and target citizens. These organized crimes also use technologies and internet of United States in doing crimes. These groups are becoming partners in crime because they thing that they will gain more profit if they will cooperate with them instead of competing with them (Federal Bureau of Investigation).

The impact of organized crime is very huge. The organized crimes also control the financial markets, labor unions and various industries. Their main work is to bring drugs in the country and raise violence. They even buy the corrupt officials to help them in their work. Usually their underground business is of prostitution. Every year they do fraud of millions of dollars which united States have to bear. Organized crime also has huge impact on the economy of United States. Every year these groups make around illegal profit of 1 trillion Dollars.

United States have programs which are dedicated towards dealing with organized crime of United States. There are many threats which are coming from these groups and it is not easy to deal with them and stop them from entering the United States or by stopping them from their illegal works (Federal Bureau of Investigation).
