The political activist and author Jesse Lemisch deny the point of view hold by many that the roots of American Revolution lies within history of great ideas. He suggests that history must be observed objectively, and reported as it had occurred. This article seeks to define phenomenon of American Revolution and discuss in it in the light of an article “what made our Revolution” by Jesse Lemisch.

In determining the nature of revolution, it is necessary to look at all aspects of the changes that it caused. The revolution may have a broad spectrum of results, some of them very radical, and others have very little impact on society. The word radical may be defined as in favor of drastic political, economic or social reforms, or as forming the basis or foundation. In considering the American Revolution, it is difficult to conclude whether or not it was a radical revolution.

On the one hand it can be argued that the Revolution was not a radical because he did not have the same cause, which usually lies at the basis of other revolutions, while others may argue that this was a radical revolution because of the vast social changes that were presented. For the most part however, the American Revolution in 1776 was a radical change that has occurred on the mutual benefit of all the colonists.

Changes in certain aspects of the colonies, which were caused by the revolution are examples of how a radical revolution. Before the Revolution, the British rule over the colonies was very hard.
