This paper aims to discuss the partnership in management within the organization. Further, the main focus is on the question “does partnership working rely on organizational factors as much as the ability of professionals to work together?” This piece of work also examines various issues that are faced by the teams, departments in working in partnership and collaboration to achieve organizational objective.

Professionals in an organization are expected to work in close collaboration and partnership with each other to strive to achieve organization goal. They are highly motivated professionals who understand the fact that collective working in partnership team can bring them success. They strive for organizational success, since they know that organizational success will consequently bring them personal success and professional growth. However, every professional who steps in the organization is highly enthusiastic to work hard, but there may be many organizational factors that may led him down. The willingness of the employee is not enough to work together in teams within the organization; there are various organization specific elements that may stand as barrier, especially in traditional organization.

Working in partnership is highly supported in high performance organization, since they realize the fact that success lies in working collectively in teams and not in working individually in isolation. It is very essential to transform traditional organization in to a high performance organization where partnerships are well managed. People may confuse the traditional organization with the high performance one. For this purpose some important differences are highlighted between the two types, so one can easily identify (Beer & Foote, 2009, p.145).

They overlook the new ideas. Their motto is usually “do not fix it, if it is broken'. Moreover, people who take risk and fail are penalized.

They are constantly seeking new ideas and test them for positive results. Further, people who take risk and fail are encouraged to try again.

In Traditional firms there is a little chance for people to learn new skills and learning is hardly rewarded.

There are plenty of skills that people learn new skills and learning is highly prized and rewarded.

The charges are designed in order to fill them with skills that are hardly required. People work in isolation.

High Performance Organization

The charges are designed because various required skills are very expensive to learn. People work in teams where members are exchange their regular work.

Managers tell employees that how they have to control things and they always have to do things as instructed by the manager. Managers consider that their job is to control and give orders only.

The managers discuss the results with their subordinates and help them in solving the work performance.
