Introduction

The objective of this project is to reflect on the professional nursing practice guidelines that I have learned, and amalgamate them into a capstone assignment. This assignment deals with the PRNR 181: Group Capstone Project.

Learning Outcome

This assignment has helped me a lot to learn the professional nursing guidelines. This assignment has taught me that nurse plays a vital role in the care, treatment, and pain management (Susan, 2008). Many nurses are unable to realize their capabilities and full potential for working in primary care settings. They also do not estimate the valuable contributions that they are able to provide community health management in their workplace.

A nurse has to play a key role in all aspects of nursing practice in primary care settings in order to improve health outcomes such as family practice or clinic walk-in. In other words, nurse works with the physician to provide comprehensive care to all patients, rather than simply perform definite tasks, such as immunizations or vital signs (Kathleen, 2009).

I now firmly believe that to be a leader in nursing requires a personal motivation and passion. There are some essential traits and behaviors that the nurses and practitioners need to be successful in the career. They have to work through different processes. In nursing leadership development, there are essential features and behavior of nurse leader that are required to lead the team. These leadership traits and behaviors open the door to success for both the leader of Nursing and the team. It is important to consider some of the essential traits and behaviors required for an effective leadership (Smith, 2007).

Learning Outcome Identified

The role of nurse consultant aims to strengthen leadership and to help retain experienced and expert nurses in clinical practice. A nurse consultant is the link from a lawyer in the medical world. While lawyers have obtained certain knowledge related to forensic medicine in their whole career, they need help when it comes to cases that require extensive knowledge of the field of medicine, and that is where legal nurse consultants come into the picture. Because of their extensive experience in formal education, and knowledge of the world of medicine, legal nurse consultants are the perfect link for lawyers in the medical world.

Legal nurse consultant is responsible for acting as an intermediary between lawyers, clients, and doctors. Registered nurses take a holistic and comprehensive approach that is not limited to the management of chronic diseases. Nurse role is essential to the functional elements of better detection, health promotion, early detection, management of chronic diseases and improved access of care to the patient.

Similarly, this Group Capstone Project taught me the lesson that doctors and nurses are clearly essential for the medical industry. Both of them have their designated duties and responsibilities, which can be only handled by them accordingly. Inter-professional relations are of great importance to serve the patients.
