Introduction

It is known in that psychological disorders may appear for some reason or for no reason. Aileen Carol Wuornos, popularly known as 'America's first lady serial Killer' was a victim of 'Borderline Personality Disorder'. Her personality, behavior and facets of character were already drawn as she conceptualized in her mother's womb. Her personality was molded with the environment of rage, contradictions, detestation and secrets that resulted in inheriting destructive traits.

Early Life

Born in Detroit, Michigan on 29 February 1956, Wuornos had intensely troubled childhood. She was nurtured with ignorance, wrath and which conditioned her behavior adversely in early stages of her life. Her parents separated before her birth and she was left alone with her grandparents when she was only four. Wuornos was never treated with affection; she was often beaten on her naked buttocks and disregarded for her existence. She started smoking and shoplifting at the age of ten, and adopted traits of extreme rage and resentment. At age 14, she gave birth to a child as a result of rape and started prostitution to satisfy her alcoholic and monetary needs. She dropped out of school and soon married a 69 year old guy but met a divorce since she was not compatible with her partner. After the divorce, she was involved in majorly involved in alcoholism, drugs accompanied with brutal crimes and armed murders (John, 2010).

Behavioral Characteristics

Wuornos's aberrant behavior started in the early stages of her life, majorly when she was involved in prostitution. This step routed the little girl through the use of drugs, alcoholism, truancy and running away from life. Her nurturance and environment routed her through the courses of extreme violation.
