Abstract

This writing narrates how some emotions are affecting the human psyche. Fear and phobia are two common types of emotion that have dominated the human mind. People confronting the fear and phobia problem tend to feel uncomfortable. The fright of facing your fear is always in their subconscious. The type of fear one dwells in may vary. Sometimes it is hereditary, at times because of any past horrifying incident, and yet at times due to any major loss. There are numerous types of fears and phobia is the extreme form of any fear. Some people develop their phobia from their childhood. While other may build up a fear or phobia with a recent terrifying activity. It is important to determine all the relevant information about the fear or phobia. The best practice one can adopt is to face and conquer over the fear. The reason being, fears and phobia are nothing but the fantasy of one's own mind.

Introduction

Human psychology is quick in responding to the threats it forsees that can cause harm. Their response in this manner is quite powerful. Emotions are an imperative part of our lives. Emotions and fear plays a very significant role in our life. Animals and people possess a programmed emotion. In some this emotion is really obvious while quite reasonable to others. Fear is encountered in countless shapes and forms in our society. We all tend to have fears let it be minor or at times intense. There are some minor fears that do not affect our way of living and just because of that reason; we do not tend to cope with them. In biological terms, fear activates certain areas of the brain which initiate certain quick response to the fear. Research suggests that when a person encounters any fear certain chemicals are released in the mind e.g. adrenaline and the stress hormone cortical into our blood stream that cause immediate response to fears (Coelho & Purkis, 2009). These responses are usually in the form of physical movement. Some of the most common and immediate response to fears are

1. Increased heartbeat

2. High blood pressure

3. Contraction of muscles

4. Anxiousness

5. Constant sweating

Hypothesis

This hypothesis states: different perception of fear and phobia among people will be discussed, and methodologies to nullify its effect on the human psyche will be elaborated.

Fear tends to make an individual remember all the moments and feelings asscoited with it. The human gets conscious when he encounters the similar situation or feeling again. These feelings are so strong that the person gets responsive to the fear without thinking. The actions performed in response to the fear are moderately strong and powerful.
