After the World War II, new vaccines developed in order to keep away people from the virus which inject in childhood. This disease termed as Polio and Polio vaccines prepared to develop a specific immune response, with minimal adverse reactions on the subject to which you given. In this paper, we will discuss the two different Polio vaccinations and which vaccination is most useful to contemporary public health practice.

Polio

Polio is a disease that can cause irreversible paralyze in less than 1% of those people who are infected. It is highly contagious and cause by three serotypes of poliovirus. It spread from person to person mainly by fecal oral route. The virus is extremely stable and can remain viable in the environment for long periods. After introducing inactivated vaccine (IPV), in many countries, this disease has been eliminated. People who are suffering from polio experienced many different health problems. These health problems are increase in muscle weakness, exhaustion; pain in joints and muscles, and few suffers from breathing problems (World Health Organization, 2004, pp. 1).

The poliovirus is more likely to occur in children from 4 to 15 years in temperate climates, in summer, and warm winter is a highly infectious disease, but fought with vaccination. The disease affects the central nervous system; moreover, it causes inflammation in the neurons of motor spinal cord and brain and leads to paralysis, muscular atrophy and often deformity.
