Prevention plan for heart diseases

Abstract

In this study, the attempt is made to explore the concept of prevention of heart failure and heart related diseases in a holistic context. The main focus of the research is on the implementation of the plan to prevent heart attacks and other heart related diseases in Baltimore City and its relation with the well being of the citizens of Baltimore City. The research also analyzes many aspects of heart disease and tries to gauge its effect on well being of the people. Finally, the research describes various factors, which can bring improvement in the well being of the people of Baltimore and reduces incidents of heart attacks and occurrence of heart related diseases and tries to describe the overall effect of the heart disease in heart patients.

Preventing heart diseases among African American in Baltimore

Introduction

Life is beautiful! Everyone in this world wants to live a happy and healthy life. There are certain crippling diseases that snatch all the liveliness and energy of life away. This in turn, restricts individuals to allow different pleasures of this life. Heart diseases are one of those crippling diseases. This paper revolves around the same issue. This paper talks about how different heart diseases affect African American in Baltimore city. This paper lays out a structure of a plan that would aid in reducing the diseases related to the heart among African American in Baltimore.

Reducing morbidity and mortality of heart disease

Out of every four death that occur in the city of Baltimore, one death is occurred due to the reason of heart disease. On an average, almost two thousand people lose their lives in Baltimore every year and more that that suffer from various injuries and chronic diseases. One of the common reasons for death in Baltimore city and United Sates of America is heart related illness. There are various reasons that can cause heart diseases and heart attacks which in turn become the most prevailing reason for the death. In the city, of Baltimore income is an issue that can create trouble and worries for the people residing there. During the period of 2006 and 2008 approximately, 11.9% people suffered from a heart attack whose income was less than 15 thousand. 8.9% whose pay was around 15 to 25 thousand suffered from attack of the heart. 3.3% people who were earning 25 to 50 thousand experienced heart attack. This data show that as the level of income is increasing the rate of suffering from a heart attack is decreasing. This data can be summarized in the form of a bar chart as follows (American Heart Association, 2005):
