Types of Records that are kept in Healthcare Sector

There are two types of records that are maintained in healthcare sector i.e., EMR (Electronic Medical Records or Electronic Health Records), and PHRs, Personal Health Records. 1. EMR This type of record maintenance system helps the doctors, insurance companies as well as healthcare facilities to know the medical record of the patient. This is a computerized record system.

2. PHR

This record system helps the patient to know about his medical record. Using the personal health record provides the patient an opportunity to have complete knowledge about his or her disease.
