Problems Facing the Church Society and How They Can Be Resolved

Introduction

Violence, terror and war, the breakdown of the family, health, education and the economy, the polarization of government through ambition and obstruction, loss of privacy and civil liberties, more serious than all this is the destruction of the environment, as it will impact everything else. These, however, are just symptoms. Symptoms can kill us, but we cannot cope if we ignore the disease (Beveridge 75 2005).

The disease is the "world", the gestalt created by the collective soul of humanity. The individual soul, in their attempt to exist without God, has constructed and identified with a false self. This false self emerges in the matrix and there is always in terms of others. These same groups are the world, but collectively they have led to significantly higher powers than the sum of the parts: the powers of darkness. These powers dominate society (and try to make it completely) (Sigmund 2002 12).

Theology Issues Church Society

The slavery of the soul to the world is the result of our radical alienation from God (and therefore of our own spirit and being created).

As our global society succumbs to an environmental crisis of his own creation, the totalitarianism of the technological system in all areas of life, the local loss of integrity due to globalization, the loss of life and personal friendship (of a person being authentically with other people), and "charity" institutions (which makes us willing to provide personal care), the local church can exist as a beacon to reality through falsehood (Barth 2008 77).

My ministry addresses this through education and development of the local church. The local church fellowship based on the cult and based on the Gospel, Christian-based solution. The local church ministers to the foundations of the civil community standing in the way of the cross and the denial of self in a model of discipleship and the church (Aries 2004 41).What are the key theological issues of our church and society that are reflected in the ministry of your congregation or organization?

What does being a follower of Christ in our cultural context?

Our Christian faith makes claims deliberate and specific about our lives. At the same time, the worlds we live compete for our loyalty and assert its own claim on us. Live as faithful disciples of Jesus in the midst of these sometimes conflicting influences can be difficult (Hillar 2003 35). Pioneer intends to be a church in which we are aware of the multiplicity of forces called us and providing a community in which they live as faithful disciples feeds.

What is a Presbyterian denomination in our context?

In 1951 Pioneer Memorial Presbyterian Church was formed from two non-Presbyterian congregations that united and determined to become a Presbyterian. Since then Pioneer has been active in the participation and leadership in the PC (USA). With the current divisions in the name, Pioneer is firmly rooted in the PC (USA) and ...
