Paper 1 - Volunteering

Volunteering is the work of those who provide a community or territory of their own happiness and happiness. The term also refers to all those people, who volunteers. By definition, volunteers are not paid for their work. There are different motivations that drive these people to devote part of their time to voluntary work. There are also several ways to volunteer: a basic classification distinguishes formal volunteering (performed within the nonprofit organizations) the informal (volunteers acting individually or in groups not registered). Another distinguishing feature of volunteers is the category in which the beneficiaries are people who are looking for improvement in the work environment (in general or any part thereof: animals, plants, etc.).

Volunteer work should meet three conditions:

Be unselfish: the volunteer does not undertake any sort of service or decoration for your help.

Be intentional: the volunteer pursues a definite intention (look for a change for the betterment in the others conditions) and legitimate (the volunteer has sufficient capacity to perform certain maintenance and consent of the other that lets you help).

Be justified: it meets a real need of the recipient of it. It is not a hobby or entertainment, but pursues the pleasure of a requirement that we previously defined. Generally, volunteers seek the assistance of another through personal efforts, motivated by something, looking as we say lawful purposes.

Individuals help others for a number of causes, particularly to aid others. Despite of the reasons why these individuals volunteer their activities and time for others, it is necessary to realize that they do this as a social cause. However, this might also be acceptable if someone assist others or help other for their self related benefits. There are a lot of reasons that why these people help or assist other people. For instance, one can find the volunteers to advise them regarding the change of career or to start a new business or to start a new job.

The survey of volunteers conducted in 1987 by Statistics Canada on behalf of the Secretary of State concluded that overall Canadians who volunteer themselves, satisfied with their commitments.

Assisting others are neat approach to find out probable job options. It is a risk free activity and one can opt to volunteer other without engaging in the long term obligations or pledges. Such type of volunteer activities will provide the opportunity for someone to assess whether he or she can become an outstanding volunteer or not! Moreover, this can be experienced without disturbing the resume because the volunteers are not engaged in a contract or pledge that can affect their resume. Individuals may discover the job or task that will be stimulating, and it will automatically augment the commitment of the individual engaged in the volunteering activity. In addition, it will provide the opportunity for the person serving as a volunteer to assess his/her capabilities as a volunteer and to assess the related field under study.
