Abstract

The human body develops and evolves. Likewise, there is also the psychological development of individuals. The early adults have to deal with the problems of intimacy and isolation. They cater with these through getting love. Then, middle aged persons have to develop generativity and also deal with stagnation. The roles also develop in middle adulthood. There is more focus on human relationships, wisdom, dealing with isolation, and development of emotional stability. Finally, those individuals who adopt good health practices in their early and middle adulthood remain better off and healthy in their late adulthood.

Introduction

It is true that individuals evolve through various stages in their life. These range from infancy, to early adulthood, to middle adulthood and finally late adulthood. These psychological changes occur as people are developing in their lives. As a result there is psychological adjustment in their lives. The focus in their psychology shifts from intimacy to isolation. Then, they also experience generativity and stagnation in their lives. On the other hand, there are also differences in their perceptions of roles where they reorient sexuality and socializing. They also value wisdom and become emotionally impoverished. Finally, they might get mental rigidity as well.
