Introduction

The increasing criminal and unemployment rates have enable the government and the private organizations to design a policy that could eliminate risk of life and losing jobs, factors that could affect control of the government, to develop control and avoid conflicting interest in order to maintain social order in a society. There are several factors that need to be controlled in order to provide a safe and secure environment to these elements so that they can perform best to their capabilities. The report will mention the public and the private policy that needs to be done in order to keep social order in the society. The report will take into consideration different factors that affect the controlling system in an organisation. The report will also highlight the risks that could have an effect on the controlling system of an organization. The report will also find out how the organisations manage the competing interests that may arise from time to time which need to be controlled in order to ensure that organizational goals are achieved instead of personal goals of the people working in an organization.

Discussion

According to (Stephen, 2009:336) the management of an organisation need to perform the function of control that is to monitor the activities carrying on in an organisation. So that the management can ensure that everything is accomplished according to the plans and to correct any deviations from the real plan. Managers can evaluate the activities in order to find that are they performing according to the plan or by comparing the actual with the standards set in the organisation's plan. An effective control system ensures that all the activities are finished in a manner that lead towards attainment of the goals and it determines how well the system facilitates towards achievement of the target. The lesser the deviations from the actual plan the better the controlling system.

Managers in order to have a control over the organisations activities need to follow the certain steps of a controlling process. The first step is to monitor that how all the activities are being performed in an organisation. After analysing the processes the managers need to compare the attained results with the standards or the plans developed by an organisation. If the comparison shows some deviation then immediate corrective actions need to be taken. The action taken against the deviations will enhance the performance and will keep it back on the right track. After taking the corrective measures the managers need to ensure that the problem does not occur in the future again.

According to (Ashliegh, et al., 2007) there are certain characteristics which if included can develop an effective control system. These are: a system that can generate accurate information for the management is very essential so that correct measures are taken at the right time.
