Reiss (1960) suggested his Wheel Theory of the Development of Love by graphically comprising it as a wheel with spokes. Rapport can be established between two persons of homogenous or alike backgrounds. One or both accept as factual they have so much in widespread that they seem a degree of mutual comprehending and rapport. A widespread declaration is, "I seem I have renowned you for a long time." Rapport can furthermore be established between persons of heterogamous or complementary backgrounds. Each one-by-one accepts as factual the other individual to be an intriguing compare to himself or he sees features in this other individual which he has habitually liked to have in himself.

Regardless of the origin of rapport, one time it is established, the connection pursues the Wheel Theory cycle. The feeling of rapport generally directs into the second stage of the communal method, self-relevation. The more calm one is with another the more he will disclose about himself. He starts to reveal things about himself at a more intimate level. The way one is socialized will sway the amount or grade of self-relevation. Some persons, for demonstration, are increased to be wary of other ones until they "prove trustworthy;" factual sentiments or convictions of a religious or sexy environment should not be disclosed except to an intimate person; admission of individual difficulties or flaws should be considered only amidst "family; " or men are innately better while women's location is in the dwelling conceiving of only household things.
