OSHA's recordkeeping obligations, in location since 1971, were conceived to help employers identify workplace hazards and correct dicey situation by holding pathway of work-related wounds and illnesses and their causes. The modified direct is conceived to make better data about occupational wounds and illnesses while simplifying the general recordkeeping scheme for employers. The direct will furthermore better defend employees' privacy.
