Introduction

The problem of refugees is not new. It has transited from various forms across the world. The people faced worst circumstances of wars, draughts, and the civil unrest which made them move to other countries. This phenomenon is still in work; however, the difference is that the social organizations and NGOs are found more commonly today to cater to the needs of these refugees (Dwork, 2009,, 163).

Refugees are individuals who forcibly leave their homes and seek refuge in some other country. Under the convention of united nation relating to the status for refugees of, a refugee refers to a person who owing to the fear of persecution for the reason of religion, race, membership, nationality of a particular group, or political opinion. The concept of asylum seeker is similar to refugee. It refers to someone who leaves his country for safety, for political reason or due to war, these people travel to another country hoping that the government will protect them and let them live there. This paper discusses the process which cerate refugees and asylum seekers, the social workers support and a brief detail of the steps of United Kingdom in protecting the rights of refugees and providing them learning, and economical support (Dwork, 2009,, 163).



Process

Climate

One of the processes by which people become refugees and asylum seekers are the climatic changes. This is the most a common process that leads migrations but in the past several individuals had to move due to the climate changes in their regions. The current situation sis of particular important in this regard because the climate is changing rapidly. It is expected that in the future the aggravated global warming will occur which will led to the creation of environmental refugees. Although they do not fit the definition of refugees according to UN convention, but the people who have been affected by the climate change are referred to as “climate refugees” or “climate change refugees”. The raising global temperature and rise in seal level decreases the food security and sovereignty of the state across the world. The rising temperatures are to raise the sea levels by the expansion of the melting glaciers, ocean water, and little ice caps, making the areas of the Arctic and the Greenland ice sheets to melt. The panel of intergovernmental on climate change predicted that the average sea level globally is supposed to rise between to 2 feet in the coming years. The model is evidence that people that live in the low lying atolls islands and the arctic home will become refugees The Office of the United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees, (Marfleet, 2005,, 150).

In the subtropical and tropical areas and in the temperature zones where livestock production and crops play a significant role in the region's economy is highly susceptible to global temperature rise and shift in the food security crises.
