Reincarnation

The belief in reincarnation can be equated with a doctrine that a certain immaterial principle ("spirit", "soul", "individual consciousness") is accomplished through successive lives in different bodies (human, animal or plant by beliefs). In this doctrine, the death of the physical body, the "spirit" leaves it to live, after a new birth, another body, which would allow individuality to continue his life experiences and his spiritual evolution or moral. Reincarnation is a form of transmigration of souls, close to the concepts of metempsychosis, polygenesis, and the Lord returns. The idea of reincarnation is not after the age Vedic Brahmins themselves but when they are appropriate, they made a secret doctrine. Jainism has developed very early and early Upanishads were inspired by these developments. This idea of reincarnation dominated the spiritual life at the time Dravidian, and then vanished for a while, only to reappear late (Moody, pp. 127-135).

For centuries people have tried to solve the question: Have we lived before? Maybe today is our life - only a link in an endless chain of previous lives? Is our spiritual energy completely disappears after death, but we ourselves, our intellectual content, any time start again from scratch?

These issues have always been interested primarily religion. There are whole nations who believe in reincarnation and life after death. Millions of Hindus believe in what we are dying, which is born again in an endless change of death and rebirth (Stevenson, pp. 742-748).
