Abstract

History is evident that many African Americans and Latin Americans have faced racism or ethnic discrimination. Mexican Americans, who are also known as Chicanos and Latinos have the most struggling time in the history of America. They have faced many hardships in the face of social, gender, political, and racial discrimination. This research paper focuses on the struggles and hardships that were faced by historians in America. Mainly it is focused on the Latinos and the Chicanos who faced hard challenges but finally got the way to create better understanding and comprehension altogether. It also covers the characteristics which made both the groups survive those pressures and sufferings. This research also covers the different variables that become the cause for Latinos and Chicanos hardships and how these variables stopped or improve the survival rate them in the modern time.

Summary

Today in America everyone regardless of their ethnicity, race, color, and religion is living with freedom and peacefully. All the Americans are supposed to enjoy equal political, social and economic rights. However, history is evident that the founding fathers of this have faced the opposite situation. In past racism became the part of American society and due to this discrimination Mexican Americans faced great challenges n order to prove their individual identity. Mexican Americans are also called Chicanos and Latinos.

Chicanos Movement and the influence of Chicano feminism on the general advancement of the year 1970 societal measures are the major steps that were taken towards their struggle. Both Latinos and Chicanos regardless of their financial, societal, and civilizing blockades achieved the goal of recognition.
