Introduction

Different researchers have attmpted to explain the impact of inappropriate parenting on the behaviour of youth, but no one has studied how this behaviour can be altered or stabilized through social work. Therefore, the significance of this study is to assoicate and explain the influence of socail work on the behaviour of youth.

This research is also important in the sense that it attempts to find the solution to the problem of youth rioting in UK. Another important aspect that make this research more significant is its ability to integrate the role of parents and social work towards the betterment of youth in our society. Morover, this sudy is primarily focused towards the youth and riots in UK.

The purpose of this research is to expand the boundaries of the author's knowledge by exploring some relevant facts related to the affect of complacent parenting on youth.

The aim of this research is to demonstrate and discuss the ethical and legal principles and their implications for social work practice, and to evaluate the assumptions involved in different research approaches used in social work. It is important for youth to believe that their parents are involved. The meaning that youth apply to their parental involvement may be most important for youth engaging in positive social behaviour. Studies have found that youth perceptions of parental involvement and parental acceptance are associated with better outcomes. In studies where youth are asked about their thoughts of their parents' acceptance of fighting behaviour, youth who perceived their parents would accept violent behaviour were more likely to be involved in fights. Pamela Orpinas and colleagues found that it was important for parents to communicate their thoughts about violence to early adolescent children to impact their child's behaviour (Zepeda, 2004, pp. 1-16).

Compalcent Parents

Complacent parenting refers to self satisfied behavior of parents regarding their children brought up. When children have everything they want easily, they cease to appreciate what surrounds them. This type of behavior is acquired in school, in the group of friends, and most commonly of the parents. If parents are sullen, their children will also be aggressive. The complacent parents and guardians, fail to keep a look out on their children, expect the public or society to watch out for them and keep them safe. In this paper, the author will examine whether complacent parenting been the contributing factor to blame for the demise of our youth? And how government policy may be implemented to counteract adverse effects from the future of a lost generation.
