Abstract

This research proposal is based on improving the risk governance in UK retail banks. The research proposal focuses on finding an affect on the UK retail banks' performance by improving the risk governance and manages the risk through a systematic approach. The dependent variable is the bank's performance and independent variable is improving risk governance. However, there are other control variables are that affects on the risk governance and banks performance. A brief methodology is defined in this proposal that will be used for the dissertation. \lastly, a time lie\ne is proposed that gives an idea of the time taken for completing the dissertation.

This study revolves around d the most revolving issue in the UK retail banking sector that is risk governance. Risk governance is the systematic decision making approach that is used by the organizations for controlling and coping up with the risk by managing the natural and technological risks. This research tries to find out that how the performance of UK retail bank is affected by improving the risk governance.

1.2 Problem Statement
