Introduction

Early year's or foundation education is a broad definition to Pre-school education, pre-elementary education, preparatory education, or early childhood education is almost difficult to define. In most of the countries, early education year is focused till the age of 8 years and in United Kingdom it is referred for education for children under the age of 5 years. There is a program with early excellence centres which was developed in the United Kingdom which has incorporated a comprehensive set of services provided to children under the age of 6 years, and their families (Steiner, 2004, 86). These dedicated centres offer full day services which are designed to foster children's emotional social, linguistic and cognitive readiness for schooling. Initiatives like these shows that the policy makers have taken care of the aspects, education and care and formulated policies accordingly.

Main objectives

In Wales, the power of qualifications and educational program (VKOP) and the power of the educational program and evaluation of Wales (FFCD) are problems for pre-school education, which is of special significance arithmetic, literacy and personal and social skills. The child should reach 2 years old, but not be over compulsory school age. The number of complete and incomplete at the time of school places is determined by the Department of Education Northern Ireland. Ministry of Education and Libraries Northern Ireland shall publish the conditions for admission of children of preschool education for each school in their territory. Schools must publish the criteria by which students will be selected if the number of those who exceed the number of available seats (Rinaldi, 2006, 286). There are no provisions of the law on how many adults must stay with children in kindergartens and schools held in Northern Ireland and Wales. In the year 2000, the British government introduced the early year's foundation stage to incorporate publicly-funded educational provision for the children's between the ages of 3 to 5 years. The curriculum for early foundation age education is based on six areas which are as follows (Phillips, 2003, 451):

Social, emotional and personal development

Literacy, language and communication

Development of mathematical skills

Understanding and knowledge of the world

Creative development

Physical development

EYFS and Reggio Emilia

EYFS and Reggio Emilia are two different teaching approaches from two different parts of the world.
