ABSTRACT

The low income and peasant-based economy of Haiti has faced extreme level ecological and economic challenges for developing in late 1980's. It has been America's one of the poorest countries where almost two-third of the Haitian people are depending on the agricultural sector of Haiti. This research aims to analyze the importance of agriculture export diversification in the globalized world and analyze the importance of agriculture export diversification for the republic of Haiti. This research analyzes the effect of agriculture sector on the economic growth of the republic of Haiti. The methodology used for the purpose of this research is based on the secondary data. This research is more or less based on the literature review & the conclusions are drawn on the basis of actual resources listed in the references. The method of investigation used, consists of a theoretical framework of secondary data by reviewing the available literature. Setting agricultural trade policies is problematic for developing countries, advanced industrial countries, and the WTO as well. Industrial countries subsidize their farmers, which leads to dumping in developing countries and limiting developing countries' (DCS) access to advanced industrial countries' (AICs) agricultural markets. The social condition in Haiti can be improved by good education and healthcare systems, and security. The participation of the upper classes in the country's affairs will help the Haitian culture and conception and the improvement of agricultural export diversification.
