Type, size and location of on-site facilities

A road or path is a path domain and public use, designed and built primarily for the movement of vehicles cars. There are various types of roads, although the term colloquially used to define road conventional road can be connected through access to adjacent properties, distinguishing them from other types of roads, highways and freeways , they cannot have steps and crosses the same level.

On any construction project, it is imperative that the contractor ensures the proper provision of on-site facilities, including clean drinking water, facilities for washing, toilets, resting facilities, in addition to the provision of lockers and changing rooms. It is also pertinent to note that these facilities should be available to all the people who work on the particular site of road construction. If the project is a big one, the contactor must make sure that the facilities are proper and adequate; the labour and manpower on the road construction site is completely dependent on such facilities, especially when the road construction takes place in areas which are far off, and cannot be easily accessed.

Provision of utility services

The utility services are very important for the successful and smooth running of a new road project, in that without the proper availability of the utility services on the road construction project, there will appear a large number of problems and the project will not be able to progress smoothly. It is very important that the utility services are provided on the construction site, since without the provision of such services, the manpower and the equipment will not be able to operate as desired. For instance, it is imperative that water, electricity and gas is provided on a road construction site, since the provision of these basic utilities is extremely important for the smooth and steady functioning of the entire project. Without the provision of these basic utility services, for example, the heavy equipment such as rollers, mixers, among other equipment will not be able to work without electricity. It has to be kept in mind that these services are provided on the construction site without any hindrance or stoppage, since time is an essential component for any construction project, and any road that is being constructed needs to be completed within the given time period. Hence, any disruption in the providence of these essential and vital utility services will tend to prolong the project beyond its deadline, which may create unimaginable problems for the parties involved in the project, namely the client, consultant and the contractor.
