Abstract

Visual learning is considered as the graphical representation of images used by school which help the students in order to enhance their knowledge and skills. Students are able to learn more as a result of seeing visual images. This study will provide the use of visual learning in Jordan and to determine the differences between traditional concept as well as visual learning concept. In terms of cost visual learning is considered as the cost effective method which when used provides many benefits to the users. The data collection was based on gathering appropriate information in terms of visual learning. The investments and result of visual learning were also beneficial as it has numerous benefits and the use of visual learning in many countries in increasing day by day. The study determined that visual learning can be further improved by following recommendations and improvements which should be followed.

Introduction

Visual learning is considered as the teaching method which deals with concepts, data, ideas and other information which is associated with graphical representation of images. The concept of visual learning is considered responsible for visual in the culture and society. It helps in understanding the society in general (Alexander et al., 2004). Visual learners are use colors, picture, maps and images in the form of organized information which helps in communicating with others. They help in visualizing plan, outcomes and objects in the mind of students. Past research related to cognitive psychology and educational theory suggest that visual learning techniques are the best methods for teaching students of all ages and make them learn.

Visual learning in combination with technology helps to clarify the thoughts students, think critically, integrating new knowledge and organizing and analyzing information by using new knowledge and to determine how items can be organized and grouped. Graphical representation helps the students by in presenting their ideas in a more effective way. It also helps students to include their own capability and creativity for clarifying their thoughts, integrate new knowledge, identifying misconceptions and reinforcing understanding (Anstey, Bull, 2006). Visual learning helps the students to use diagrams, plots and manipulative for displaying vast information which helps in understanding relationships and revealing patterns and relationships. Visual learning is considered as the method used in which concepts, ideas, information and other data are associated with graphical representation of images. The learning styles affect how we think, how we behave and approach to learning and the way we process information. Recognize own way of learning and preferences is the first step you need to take teachers to be more effective in their work with diverse students.
