Importance of the Study

The topic of the study that is “Security Measures in Hospitality Industry” is of great importance to the researchers and readers as it provide the ways of managing security issues in the hospitality industry. The hospitality industry is mainly concerned with the operations of hotels, restaurants and sports industry that is usually based on the day to day functions of management and other operations. As the industry is largely concerned with the delivery of excellent services and facilities, security measures are the important part of these services. Therefore, the study takes into account various security measures that have been adopted by the hotels, restaurants and sports firm operating under a hospitality industry that has been provided in the past literature (Ahmad, 2001, 51).

Relevance of the Study

The study is relevant in various perspectives due to the diversity of the topic that includes analysis of security measures in the hospitality operations. The day to day operations of the hotels, restaurants, hospitality and sports are considered to be an important factor for the managers and respective personnel for managing the reputation of their firm. The study provides significant data about the security measures taken by the hotels and other firms operating under the hospitality industry. The study also provides analysis of risk management and facility management to the readers and individuals by interviewing the managers and other important professionals in the respective sector (Alexander, 2006, 1).

The hospitality industry is an important industry for the countries as it earns large revenues for the country and improves the economic conditions of the country by providing countable services to the foreigners and other respective people. Thus the study is relevant as it provides information on various perspectives of hospitality industry and analyse the ways and importance of facility and risks management in the hospitality industry (Barrett, 2000, 421).
